No HIT Boxing at Body Matrix

Boxing skills without the face tax

(and why lifters are going to love it)

Everyone loves the idea of boxing… right up until the moment someone tries to remodel their face.

That’s why we built NO HIT BoxingBody Matrix’s proprietary boxing concept designed to teach real boxing skill and defence without sparring. You’ll get the sweat, the skill, the confidence and the stress relief — without signing up for concussions.

This is a teaser, not the secret recipe. We’re not giving away the full session structure. But here’s exactly what you should expect, what to bring, how to stay injury-free, and why it pairs perfectly with your usual weights program.

What to expect

NO HIT Boxing is built around:

  • Technique (stance, footwork, punching mechanics)

  • Defence (guard discipline, movement, timing, awareness)

  • Conditioning (round-based work that makes your lungs write resignation letters)

  • Authenticity without sparring
You won’t be sparring, but the coach may use occasional light, controlled taps to keep it real and sharpen your defence. Think honest cues, not punishment.

Bottom line: you leave feeling like you learned something, not like you need dental work.

Who it’s for

  • People who want boxing skills but don’t want to get hit

  • Beginners who want a safe entry into boxing

  • Lifters who want a conditioning tool that doesn’t wreck joints like random “bootcamp” chaos

  • Anyone who needs a stress outlet that isn’t shouting at traffic

What to bring (keep it simple)

You don’t need a shopping spree. Just show up ready to work.

Bring:

  • Hand wraps or Gel gloves (highly recommended)

  • Boxing gloves (if you have them; if not, we can supply you with a loan pair)

  • Towel

  • Water bottle

  • Comfortable training gear you can move in

Optional but wise:

  • A light snack 60–90 mins beforehand if you’re coming in on empty

  • A spare shirt if you sweat like a busted fire hydrant

How to avoid injury (the Body Matrix way)

Most boxing injuries come from ego, not boxing.

Here’s how we keep you safe:

1) Start lighter than your confidence suggests

If you’re new, your hands and shoulders haven’t earned maximum power yet. Technique first. Power later.

2) Wrap your hands properly

Bad wrapping turns your wrists into a complaint department. If you’re unsure, we’ll show you.

3) Keep the shoulders down and the ribs stacked

Most people punch with tense shoulders and flared ribs. That’s how necks and backs get cranky. We’ll coach you into cleaner mechanics.

4) Don’t “snap” punches like you’re trying to break the bag

Smooth acceleration, clean alignment, controlled return. Your joints will stay happy and your punches will get sharper.

5) Tell us about injuries before you start

Old shoulder issues, wrist problems, back pain, knee stuff — we’ll modify. That’s part of the deal here.

And if you’ve got persistent niggles, Pam’s Prehab is the perfect pairing to keep you training consistently.

Why NO HIT Boxing is the perfect add-on to your weights program

Boxing isn’t here to replace lifting. It’s here to make your lifting life better.

As an adjunct to weights, boxing gives you:

  • A brutally effective conditioning hit without endless treadmill misery

  • Better coordination, footwork, and athleticism

  • A mental reset — you can’t overthink life when you’re focusing on defence and timing

  • A fun, skill-based challenge that keeps training fresh (and keeps you showing up)

Lifting builds the engine. Boxing teaches you to drive it like you’ve got a license.
